Norns and Yggdrasil

Product description

A larger handmade project from linden wood. The three Norns Urd, Verdandi and Skuld symbolize the past, present and future. The uncertain future is partially shrouded in a sail. The Norns spin on the thread of fate that comes here from the World Tree of Yggdrasil. One of the Norns winds the thread with the help of a whisk. It passes through the other one and the third finally breaks it with scissors. There are runes of the Elder Futhark in the branches of Yggdrasil and in the roots is Urda's well. The fiber here is made of sheep wool. The wood is painted with glaze.
